The mission of the Orangeburg Part-Time Players (OPTP) is to provide for self-expression and personal growth through the presentation of live theater, contribute to the development and cultural enrichment of the performing arts in the greater Orangeburg area, and foster friendship and camaraderie among its members and the community.
For 36 years, the OPTP has impacted the Orangeburg area. We have produced 133 shows since our founding in 1981. Our juniors – comprised of youth ages 6 to 18 – have performed more than 45 shows since 1982.
The Junior OPTP continues to be the backbone of the group, providing an outlet for creativity and education among our youngest members while giving them a voice in the community.
